The Best Music of 2019

The Best Music of 2019

This year followed a similar trajectory as the last, where the state of politics has been rapidly decaying, but at least TV has been really good. So while Britain may only be around for a few more months and America seems to be rehearsing for a new civil war, we can at least enjoy Baby Yoda and have a new season of Barry to look forward to.

While I haven’t heard many people describing this year in music as being particularly revolutionary, a steady stream of solid releases made 2019 more than palatable. What I consider the best musical moments didn’t involve many breakout artists presenting a wholly new sound as much as those who debuted in recent years presenting a more refined version of the sound that made them famous.
