Drinking in the Day

I tend to avoid drinking in a day as a general rule that I’ll happily break for anything that could be considered an occasion, which in the summer is easily rationalized. What I’ve tried to avoid is drinking becoming part of my writing routine as I can imagine how a cheeky daily drink could descend into me putting brandy on my cornflakes and then eventually coming to consciousness in a shopping mall food court with my face planted into some combination of my own vomit and whatever I ordered from Panda Express.

The title of this mix is both a reflection of the state I was in while making it, as well a prescription for its intended use. The result is an unholy combination of experimental electronic, hard rock, and slow funk, the sum of which attempts to capture the wild abandon of being drunk in the day.
